...cats actually have an easier time landing on their feet from greater heights because the fall gives them time to reorient themselves and brace for impact. which isn't to say this isn't true of shorter falls, but still. yes it's true mostly...

As a biologist, I can confirm, t)(ey do (usually) land on t)(eir feet! Because damage being taken over several points leads to t)(e fall damage being spread out across t)(e limbs! Muc)( safer t)(an falling on somet)(ing important like t)(eir )(ead! T)(ey even )(ave a variety of adaptations for it, including and excellent sense of up from down, an especially bendy spine, and extra cus)(ioning in t)(eir paws!
