I do not trust chefs with their big hats. There is no way to tell if they are getting Ratatouilled. And if that is the case, the rat, not the man, deserves my respect.

Common misconception, Mister Trollbama. Ratatouille is the dish. Not the act. And in no kitchen is a whole dish ever prepared by one chef alone. The best ingredients are sourced nationwide. From farmers. From delivery errand runners. Waited on by wait staff. The best runners and cooks collaborate in order to furnish the finest of their conjoined talents for one meal that the customer consumes as composite whole. Like the Alternian nation you assumed office to lead, it is the whole of something that makes it more than the sum of its parts. You are not your country, or solely responsible for its successes, nor too to blame for its failures. The Chef and the rodent Little Chef are jointly responsible for the preparation of the food. And both cook.

Thank you for your valuable insight. While I am aware the dish itself is called Ratatouille, I was using “Ratatouilled” as a substitute for having to describe Remy’s act of hair-pulling to pilot Alfredo. However, you are correct. Words are deeply important and hold great value, and I must be precise when using them. Thank you for that important reminder. As for my respect towards the chef, I was attempting to convey my feelings of disappointment towards him, had he not made me aware that it was not his own skill that created the dish. While there are many parts to preparing a great meal, had the chef served it to me, one is immediately inclined to show the chef their appreciation. However, if the chef’s skill was not used at all during the preparation and creation of the meal, but was instead entirely the work of another, I would be deeply disappointed in that chef’s willingness to take credit for a dish he did not prepare. I would prefer to direct my appreciation onto the individual who played the role of chef: the rat.
