had a weird day at the lab today one of the man eating plant specimens broke outta containment (thx 4 not doin ur friggin job dereck) n instead of immediately goin on a murder spree like i thot it would, the thing made it all the way to the yard n just started rollin around in the grass like a cat findin a sunny spot im obviously relieved nobodys dead, but now ive got a giant carnivorous plant rooted outside n absolutely no idea how im supposed 2 convince it to get back in the terrarium #labstories

well it doesnt, at least not naturally we had 2 synthesize a handful of genetic samples from alternian specimens n spent years figurin out how to adapt em to earth conditions which i realize sounds EXTREMELY like the opening act of a scifi thriller now that im sayin it out loud, but i swear we had good reasons for it lmao turns out the goo those things secrete makes for an absolutely ridiculous biofuel, so ofc humanity would look at that n say "hey we can defo turn this in2 a product"
