Serket Lesson of the Day: Gun Safety Trigger warnings: #Guns #Firearms #UnsafeGunHandling If you are ever in the 8uisness of oper8ting a firearm you should 8e well versed in the life saving practices of gun safety. Here I will list a few important rules to follow to ensure you don't cause unnecessary harm to yourself! Rule num8er one. Always point the muzzle of the weapon in a safe direction. This ensures that in the case of a misfire no8ody or thing is injured or damaged. This includes avoiding areas where a 8ullet or a 8last may ricochet off of a surface or cause some sort of explosion or toxic spill! Rule num8er two. Always 8e sure your gun is unloaded if you do not intend on actually using it. Esta8lishing your gun is incapa8le of firing keeps you safe if you were to, say, 8e attempting to show off with it 8y "doing cool tricks". Rule num8er three. Make sure the safety is on! This is self explanatory. You have to 8e incredi8ly foolish for this to not 8e the first thing you check. Rule num8er four. Know how to handle a gun. You should read up on how to actually USE the weapon you are wielding instead of just winging it and assuming something incredi8ly stupid like "it runs in my 8lood". It doesn't.
