Watching your Human Chess has always been fun for me. I hold great respect and perhaps even kinship for the player Kasparov. His play style that can be compared to choking out the life of an opponent's strategy. Beautiful. It's how I like to play. He may not be champion anymore, but he wins the award for my favorite player.
I think this is how competition is often best played. It's not about making better moves necessarily. It's about making sure your opponent isn't able to make good moves at all. It works in chess, card games, combat. War strategy, if you look at the Duellist. The Shackler Barbette trained them well.

Of course I lose and learn from it. But I don't see the point in intentionally elongating a conflict that is already winnable. If they truly have the capacity to teach me something, they would not find himself in a position to lose against me so easily in the first place.
