Looked more into SBURB considering apparently the impending doom is in fact getting closer and closer and it took a bit, but I found a few guides. They all stop super suddenly after various points but I'm sure it cant be as complex as these bastards are trying to make it seem. Not touching the game until I'm completely prepped though. Typical doomsday shit. Gathering nonperishable foods, getting my affairs' in order... that sorta shit. I have a few copies but I think anyone I'm close with would call me insane and send me to the ward if I tried to explain the worlds ending and we have to play some awful game that will inevitably kill you LOL. It's fine. Don't got many friends anyways. So far what I'm gathering is that there's machines that can be placed down for free and that they're hella important and shit. I'm trying to comprehend the shit in these guides but half of them are just straight up panicked blabbering. Not like I don't understand. Worlds ending so...

Your unfiltered prose is beautiful ,i think it would be more suited to a novel or poem. That being said, you clearly did not have the time during that stage of your play through to go back, clarify, reduce, and prioritize important information. I doubt the traumatic memory is one anyone would want to have to go back and read through in detail in the aftermath, either. The process of having your life and home uprooted is not... pleasant. Leave it the way it is. It might teach some education allergic assholes a few new vocabulary terms.

I am starting to understand why the Non-Cohabitation Treaty of 4030 happened. It makes a lot more sense now why the intergalactic republic of earth, and the alternian empire decided to enter a no-contact agreement. We haven't even met in person yet in our session, and we're already having human on troll conflicts of morality and heated arguments. That war lasted for nearly three centuries of on and off fighting before both sides just decided not to interact at all. Many lives were lost. I'm worried about Darlyn. I can't put my finger on exactly what is making my stomach twist into knots about it, but I feel like something is wrong. She just seems different after getting into the game. We can all pretty well tell that she's depressed, that's for sure, but she's also not letting any of us in. In a situation where she has nothing left to lose and previous societal norms are no longer, she is still choosing not to let herself get attached to anyone else except the two high blood trolls she brought with her. It wouldn't be the first time that she's lied by omission, or directly, and at this point coplayers keeping secrets from each other becomes more and more worrying the further we get into this game, knowing that we are supposed to be acting as a team. I don't want to see it happen, but it feels more and more like there's going to be a schism in the party between the rest of us and the three high blood trolls. I guess I'll just have to enjoy the relative peace while it lasts. There's a lot to like about her, but I can't overlook the huge red flags. All three of them are putting out big red flags, I just can't quite put my finger on how to describe it. I don't think we're going to be able to stay friends forever, no matter how genuinely we all wanted to include her, Shugga and Acedia. Even though I know that there's nothing really I or anyone else can do if it comes to that, I feel really sad knowing how lonely she's probably feeling right now under that mask, and how much worse it's going to get if she makes a regrettable and tragic choice. We still know next to nothing about Shugga and Acedia as is. These are the same trolls that organized this group of people in the first place to play. On an sweeter note, I want to share some more social updates as well about how our session is going. So, one of my co-players, Haiwei, has been asking us girls a lot of questions. They were obsessed with humans, mammals, and the things that our bodies can do. At first it was really irritating, they'd ask all kinds of intrusive questions about how bodies work for human women, sometimes men but mostly women. Some of them were very inappropriate questions, which I think is a product both of them being a rather isolated individual and also probably some kind of troll specific neurodivergence making it more difficult for them to read social cues and understand what's appropriate or too much. Either way, this was an intense, repeated curiosity and admiration. Nobody really understood why the obsession was so big, until the truth finally came out. It all clicked for us when she finally said outright that she just wanted to be more like us in the way that her body looks. At first we all thought that they were asking for a sample of Cora's HRT medication because they wanted to study the differences or something, or maybe to investigate the hormonal and chemical processes that induce lactation in humans as something just foreign, alien and novel in concept that they were fascinated by. Now, I don't really know how to break it to her that human medication for that isn't going to work for a troll in the same way. I think Cora will have a much better understanding of how to handle that situation with grace, but she's also not the most emotionally sensitive or inclined so maybe not. It's going to be tough for everyone to find a way to support her in transitioning medically like she wants without any doctors left in the universe. We'll find a way! I know we can. Surely, in an interdimensional apocalypse game that can create a pocket dimension specifically for the people who are playing it, create brand new objects out of combined captcha codes pulled from thin air like magic, and sling meteors across an entire universe like it's nothing, there has to be a way to make her dreams come true. There's no way that something this magical and impossible cannot produce such a result somehow. We've been planning a girls night for a while as soon as all of us can find a way to meet up together. Lots of fun discussions about what we're going to do when we get there. The invitation has of course been extended to Haiwei! It's the least we can do. I also gave her a captcha code for one of the dolls I used to play with when I was little girl because she keeps talking about how curious she is about babies and motherhood and I wanted to give her a little piece of that joy. She hasn't made it yet, but I hope that she likes it. I might see if we can get together and do a kind of hand me down party, donate a bunch of captcha codes that she can alchemize together and make some new outfits that feel affirming and more like herself. We can call it a dress up party! What's more girly than getting together and doing makeovers? I think between that and spa days, that's about as girly as it gets. In the meantime, does anyone here have recommendations about how to support a troll transitioning mtf? I'm not entirely sure about what feminine gender presentation looks like for trolls, or the kinds of things that they need specifically that I as a human would not understand. I just really want to be there for my friend in any way that I can, and the way that will support her the most in her specific situation. I apologize sincerely that it has been so long since my last update. Things have been getting complicated for my co-players and I. All of us are safely in the game, but the word safe is hardly the way I would describe the situation that we are in now. If you've ever heard the turn of phrase, out of the fire and into the frying pan, that's about where we are now. I am looking down into a giant mystery tubeslide hole in the ground leading to nowhere on my otherwise extremely empty and boring player land, and debating whether or not I should jump in or wait for my co-player who is trying to get to and join me accomplish that first. My cat is now a giant ghost robot thing, and it's very unclear whether or not it is benevolent. This is confusing and alarming for all of us, because nobody else's sprite seems to be acting in the way that mine does. How would I describe it? Malicious compliance, willful ignorance, weaponized incompetence, inaction, negligence? It seems to be fulfilling its duties to protect the player as minimally as it can, as lazily as possible, and it's main priorities are somewhere else. I'm not sure exactly what putting the Marsguide into the kernel did to it, but it wasn't anything good. In theory, throwing in what is essentially a interplanetary amazon alexa smart home llm model should have made it especially adaptable and capable of responding to the environment as a tutorial entity, instead it just seems to know too much even for a sprite It just seems like everything I do ends up going wrong somehow, no amount of trying to logic my way around the problems in this game seems to produce any kind of positive result. It's almost never until after I lose my patience that I seem to make any progress, and only because I ended up smashing something so hard that it just kind of started working. Have you ever had a controller that's getting old and the trigger buttons have stopped working and the cartridge jack is partially unseated, so every once in awhile you just kind of bang it on the table and it kind of just starts working again for seemingly no reason? Playing this game feels a lot like that to me, or at least the way this game wants me to play feels a lot like that. #sburb #drama #recap
