◌ To that end: I have never been one to believe forgiveness is necessarily a given. There are those in your life who will harm you, and there are those who will treat you in such a way that it will alter the way you perceive the world for the rest of your time in it. Some say 'forgiveness is strength', to say that one is only strong when they are able to find the words to let wrongful actions slip from their mind. But I do not believe that. Forgiveness is earned. It is a gift that you grant, and there are some who will never deserve it. ⧂
