Pitch relationships aren't inherently shitty and neither are flushed relationships but there's going to be a significant volume of relationships in ANY quadrant that are failure states. I've seen plenty of humans and plenty of [my species] in functional pitch relationships, without any exposure to Alternian culture whatsoever. It's just these guys in particular who sucked ass.

I really do feel like I need to stress here that the ONLY reason cherubim don't naturally have the full range of quadrants is that they're *not a social species* due to being adapted specifically for long periods of solitude. ANY social species will have all four, without exception, and they will manifest in the same ways.
Humans, like literally all social species, have the full range of quadrants. The typical human (and [my species]) reaction to having quadrants explained to them is "wait there's a word for this thing I have direct experience with?" Need to clarify here: There are no cultural differences between humans and [my species], as it is purely dependent on the region we're raised in.
