People like to tell me the merit-grounded model for Society is idyllic/impossible. These people tend to be my neighbours, my friends, my lowblooded brothers/sisters the ones who put in the effort, who risk their lives nightly for the blood-model. It pisses me off, but I get it. It's everything we've known. But it doesn't need to be everything we know. The disinfo/discredit given by the highblood news-skulls, the constructions they put in to keep us Nescient, it could be deconstructed by the end of the week if we were to decide we needed something new. Once it's been torn down, we rebuild something with equity, for the mother's future wrigglers, so they don't need to live the truth we live in.
