its interesting because in most troll media, darkness has a connotation of returning to the caverns or sometymes of sleep, and yet, thys idea of corrupt darkness pervades.
by sleep i suppose i should clarify, the sort of melancholy sleep of the strange daywaking troll. specificity is important, haha.
The dark is welcoming, quiet, present in all but perfect light. It's a natural state of being, and on canvas it is the culmination of all color. The light is energy, it is life it is fire it is electric. Light will burn and sear, light is sacred, the light is alien. Light is perception, and perception can be tricked. It engulfs the dark and leaves little room for anything else. To let the light inside is to welcome the unknown.
