The experiences of the child thus far, in the single episode she's been in: - was injured terribly in a wagon crash - main character healed her - she now works for the main character (she is a child and should not be working. The main character is an adult.) - the main character took only her and her maid on an important business trip. The child has parents. The parents were not invited. - the main character bisected a bandit and killed several others in front of the child, then told the child that bandits are not people. - the main character scolds someone else for having blood on them in case they "terrify the child" - the child is then made to drive the wagon. - when the child expresses discomfort at staying in a fancy hotel, the main character acts as if she is an idiot for acting this way - the child's use as an assistant immediately is made obsolete by the appearance of one of the main character's old butlers who is returning to her service. ... Why...? Why do they treat the child like this? This fully makes the main character out as the bad guy. If that was intentional, I'd be intrigued, but everything else in the story tells you that the main character was wronged and her judgement is perhaps overkill, but is ultimately justified. What is going on. What kind of choice was this? #lockanime #abuse #child-abuse #fictional-not-real
