It itches so bad. The skin is pulled taught and it rips when I dig a nail into it. Its become a habit. I pick at it and it bleeds and scabs then I pick at it again and again and again and again. All the way around, until the blood gets in my eyes and I need to stop myself before it gets worse. But I can't because it itches and when I itch it the wounds fester and blister, the mask rubbing hard against bare flesh as it tears at my skin and digs its way into my skull. It hurts but I pick at it anyways. I know I shouldn't, but its driving me crazy! The skin is ripping and the wounds are opening up, staples dont help anymore and the glue has ran dry. The urge to keep it on is foreign to me and I don't know why I do it. When it itches so bad and all I can think about day in day out is ripping it clean from the flesh its bound to, gnawing at the edges of it until I reach tear straight through the muscle and feel my nail graze along bone. But everytime as its dangling from the remanance of my face, flapping off the torn skin. I put it back every time. It itches.
