Theres a lot of places you can explore, not just from a strictly Abandoned point. in my experience the better ones are truely abandoned places nobody knows about...Like if you go to the woods and find a patch of moss that looks suspiciously out of place and leads you to tunnels that stretch miles underground in a mountain? fun times....Just bring a Weapon, Salt and Make peace with whatever god you choose to worship

Easy, my brother does the same. Just give a gentle conversational nudge, "Any place catch your eye recently, kinda wanna try something new!" Of course, not that exactly, but it works on Dave, and I get a new place to hang out and eat at with him, and it takes time, but he ends up coming to me asking if we can go somewhere. Of course, it opens him to wanting to go to my fave spots with him. A "meet me halfway" type deal.
