Bro was raised by his father and was a child of divorce. He married young and got married to Marmalade Lalonde, who had nicknamed herself “Mom,” and he met her when he was enlisted in the military. His first kid was with Marmalade when he was 19, and he had 2 kids with her. Dirk and Roxy. A few years later, he had another set of twins, Dave and Rose. He went into the military to support his family. Over the years, Bro wasn't the best father he could have been; his trauma wasn't unpacked. Both him and “Mom” weren’t happy and divorced around the time Dirk and Roxy were 15. “Mom” took Roxy and Rose, and Bro Kept Dirk and Dave. The stress of the divorce and his time in the military made him unstable, and he lashed out at his sons. When Dirk turned 18, he got into a fight with Broseph, and it was the first and only time Bro put his hands on his kids, but it was enough, and Dirk took Dave and left, and they cut contact with him for several years. When Dave was in his mid-20s, he reached out to Bro after hearing Bro had been discharged from the military, losing both of his legs, and while he was given aid was struggling to take care of himself and get by. Dave reconnected and moved in full-time to help his disabled father, and it took Dirk a few more years to come around. About the time Dirk came around, Bro was in his 40s. Around the time Dave came, his oldest daughter Roxy reached out with Dave. Rose came around last. Broseph and “Mom” haven’t quite rekindled a good friendship but are cordial with each other. When she’s in Texas, she visits her sons and has dinner with them and goes on a platonic date night with Broseph. Bro willingly agreed to go to therapy because of Dave. He wants to be a better person and is trying to make up for his actions during their early years, and is making good progress. He still struggles to do what’s good for his family and himself and messes up often. Though his kids are always willing to be patient. He's not perfect, and he knows he's not. But he cares more than anything about his daughters. Broseph does not talk about his daughters because they aren’t a big part of his life right now and live far away.
