D --> #equiusvault Number 7: Uvalish D --> Applicable Warnings: #gore and #insects in passing D --> Status: In Vault, Low Security D --> This dagger was an item in possession of a cult I dismantled, used for their rituals D --> It has a plain blade, about the length of a paring knife, and appears to be made out of simple stainless steel D --> The hilt, however, is far more comple% D --> It is quite large compared to the miniscule size of the short blade, with a sizable crossguard D --> The grip is strange, rather than a tang that leads into a handle that is then wire-wrapped the tang is instead strewn with thick silvery wire that resembles the form of a worm, grub, or maggot D --> The tang interestingly is not a single cohesive piece with the blade as one would e%pect, but rather it is contiguous with the hilt D --> The material is a reddish brown metal, like the colour of a red clay brick or bau%ite D --> The crossguard is twisted, like a rope, with it tapering out and curving toward the ends D --> In an inactive state, the knife is quite plain indeed other than it's strange design D --> However when it comes into contact with b100d the function of the knife changes quite dramatically D --> When the blade cuts someone open or draws b100d, it is capable of drawing the b100d onto itself and transforming it into a crystalline material, matching the hue of the b100d D --> It will encase the blade of the knife in this razor sharp crystal, e%tending it's length as more b100d is drawn, from what I saw it was capable of becoming impressively long- akin to a greatsword D --> The light weight of the crystal makes such lengths more manageable, even with a single-handed grip D --> The wielder of Uvalish e%erts a tremendous amount of control over the b100d drawn by it's blade D --> It is impressively easy to will the b100d to change the shape of the blade, or return the b100d to liquid form D --> A skilled user can utilize this, as I discovered, to liquefy portions of the b100d when swung, before returning them to crystalline form before they leave the range of the sword's inf100ence D --> This can create a number of very small, sharp projectiles or environmental hazards to be avoided D --> The b100d gathered by Uvalish appears to have a limited duration of usefulness, however D --> The more fresh the b100d the more durable it is,. with the b100d beginning to become more brittle within only 30 minutes and event001y becoming so fragile it turns to dust with only a light touch D --> Furthermore, b100d can only be drawn in a single time, if material is lost during a fight, whether on purpose or due to damage, it cannot be regained by the blade and fresh b100d must be used as a replacement D --> Though once an opponent has even a single bleeding wound, this is not nearly so difficult D --> Despite the power it lends to it's wielder, I have detected no sentience or malicious psychic force contained within the blade, it is merely e%pertly enchanted D --> For that reason while it is behind lock and key in my vault, I consider it a minimum security item D --> However, I did install a drain underneath it's display just in case
