That specimen in particular seems to be Polymita Picta. The Type Species for Polymita as a genus. In that way I suppose simply calling it "Polymita" is not inaccurate. Ha ha.

It's not a rare occurrence. Do not fret. I've grown very acquainted with this beauty in recent years due to its endangerment. Illegal poaching and shell trade. Very unfortunate and yet very common.
