Will people PLEASE stop offering my wife advice on how to "get her figure back?" Is childbirth not a beautiful? Why erase the proof of such a magnificent process! Do you take me as so vain as to withdraw from my wife on looks alone? I am, frankly, insulted!
As much as I should be preoccupied with what lies in store for me, what with the ichorous ooze and terminal maladies and all, but I find myself still thinking of days not too far off. I should speak of this with her, for obvious reasons, as she is the one carrying my child (and she is a well educated woman in regards to health and medical care), but I can't help it! Obviously, we will need a governess, no child of mine will grow up ignorant in this world of boundless knowledge, but what of these earlier years?
