I used to sit on the kitchen floor, box in lap, and pore over the poorly-lit photographs and worn edges of these paper cards. They belong to an era of misplaced gelatin and canned tuna, baffling inedible garnish habits, raw marinated celery entrees, and shoddy homemade birthday cakes. I could not get my fill of reflecting upon them if I tried.
Most fascinating...Any highlight recipes that you remember? I'd love to try recreating one myself.
They cater more particularly to the working middle class of old Terran culture. You may or may not enjoy the end result. Also, they hail from an infamously mocked period of American food culture.
