This one is quite interesting to me. Question: What is your take on human priests using manipulation tactics and their status to get their way? Surely that's an affront to the faith in some way? It certainly is an affront to the faith. God deeply detests the corrupt and the unfaithful priests. As those meant to be spiritual guides, the divine judgement they receive for exploiting the vulnerable or using their status for power shall be far greater than any other common sinner. In the bible, God directly rebukes corrupt priests, cursing their blessings and holding them in contempt. When Jesus lived, he also spoke against such things. In Matthew 18:6, He warned that it would be better for a spiritual leader who harms a believer to have a millstone tied around their neck and be drowned. Something to understand here, in ultimate, is what's called the eternal and unpardonable sin. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. To act in selfishness, predation, and pride as these corrupt priests do? Well... Let's just say that they're destined for a warm place indeed. Devilish people, really.
