I could give some metaphysical answer, but that would be a copout. We all grew up in different ways. Processed the trauma of Sburb in different ways. Clung to each other too tightly, acted out what we thought growing up was supposed to be. For my part, I was a recluse. I I wasn't sure how I wanted you all to regard me relative to Rose Prime, so I avoided the issue entirely under the guise of "getting out of her way."
She's not Prime Me, she's Rose. I'm Jasprose. Or Jasmine, as I've been going by. That's actually why I'm even on Chittr - apparently, choosing the name Jasmine was enough to reconnect me with this little cluster of Ultimate Selfdom. Don't think too hard about it.
Oh, I know. This place is fascinating and has helped me understand a lot more about myself both in the ultimate sense and just as a person! Not to mention all the wonderful people I've met. I even found my Kanaya, from the pre-retcon timeline. I've reconnected with an Egbert I'd been neglecting in her timeline. I even rescued a Jane who had been Tiaratopped into killing me long ago. I'm sure you'll meet plenty of nice people too. Like Angie! That one's sweet, if a bit sycophantic to Jades and Janes.
i do not want to use angie as a prop but i think she does show that it is never too late to change! i may have not experienced what you have (yet??) but i know how you must feel and im sure you can still find a way to feel better!
