[BROADCAST ENTRY] Evening, folks. /Seventh Echo/, tuning in. I've been thinking about how comforting broadcasts are. Having someone else explain the world to you, I mean. You wake up, turn on the receiver, and there it /is/. What happened. Why it happened. Who was responsible. What you should be concerned about. /Very convenient/. You don't have to wonder whether you missed something.Somebody has already gone through the trouble of deciding what is worth knowing for you. Really, who could blame you for believing broadcasts? It's much easier when everything comes neatly packaged. A little announcement /here/, a statement /there/, perhaps a few familiar faces reminding you that everything is being handled. There's something reassuring about that, I think. No, I /know/. Everything has a place. Everything has an explanation. You don't gotta sift through conflicting accounts or spend your evening wondering why two versions of the same event somehow manage to disagree on the important parts. You listen, you nod, and you carry on with your evening. Of course, there are always little things that don't quite fit. A name left out of a report. A broadcast that suddenly is not available anymore. A story that changes slightly every time somebody repeats it. A photograph that disappears. A witness who seems to have stopped talking. Nothing important, I am sure. /Just little inconsistencies/. The sort of thing you could spend hours investigating if you had nothing better to do. And we are sensible people, /right/? We don't just go diggin' into thangs that have already been explained for us. We don't /need/ to ask why one version gets repeated more often than another. We don't /need/ to wonder why /certain questions/ seem to make people /uncomfortable/. We certainly DON'T need to concern ourselves with why some voices are given every opportunity to speak while others are /suddenly nowhere to be found/. That would be /paranoia/. Nobody wants to be paranoid. Especially when there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for everything. And if something were being hidden, we would probably be told. Would we not? [STATIC] You know, I have always found it interesting how quickly a rumor becomes dangerous once enough people start asking whether it is true. Before that, it is just a /rumor/. Something harmless. Something you can laugh about over a convo. Give it enough attention, though, and suddenly somebody is very eager to explain why you should not be talking about it anymore. That is probably nothing. A /coincidence/, perhaps. Coincidences are /very/ convenient /things/. They have a funny habit of showing up exactly when somebody needs them. But that is probably just me. Anyway, I don't wanna to keep you too long with this particular topic. You have /lives/ to get back to. Responsibilities, work, sleep, all the usual little things that keep us pleasantly occupied. Would not want me getting in the way of those. I have some music coming up for you tonight. One particular song I want you to pay attention to and a few more after that? Nothing to worry your pretty little heads about. Unless, of course, you /do worry/. But please. Don't. Just keep listening, folks. They would not want you to miss the broadcast.

[FEEDBACK] What's your thoughts?

mostly that you're right. there's comfort in what we know. i listen to radio so i can know more, because if i don't keep up, i fall behind. but you gotta pay attention to the little things. to the way the broadcast sounds. to what they might be leaving out. you use the word coincidence a few times. i don't believe in those. i see how you say 'they' wouldn't want you to miss this. you're the one posting it, not them. so i gotta wonder.|

[FEEDBACK] I admit, I'm more subtle about who I'm talking about within this broadcast, but you can't tell me coincidences don't have a place in rumors. Like I said, it's just me. If you don't agree, that's what an opinionated response is for. I'm talking about a certain 'they' anyhow. If you read between the lines, you'll know, detective.
