Maid dress Monday? What an odd tradition. What is the purpose?
... The purpose is that I wished to see people in maid dresses, and a friend of mine very kindly started a trend about it. Although as with all chittr trends, it grew far outside the original scope. Essentially, it is for the sake of posting images of oneself in a maid dress.
I'm shocked to hear you technica//y started it, and even more shocked it's persisted. Why a maid dress?
I'm also shocked that it persisted. And because I enjoy them. But mostly because there were many people feeling very left out by #moirailmonday and #matespritmonday due to having no people to fill said quadrants, and I was playfully making a suggestion that is a little more solo-inclusive. Anyone can dress up a little, in theory.

I am a fan of them. I enjoy the diversity of the format. For something with one single name, there are many different styles. This appeals to me. It also can be entirely safe for work, or entirely not, at people's personal preference. That, too, is good. This allows people to enjoy them without feeling as if they must do things in one specific manner. There is really no wrong way to go about it. Butler outfits are also good, for those who hate dresses. It is diverse in this way.
... Hmh. I suppose I can see that. I concede that it is more inc/usive than the other two tags. I am not much for fo//owing trends, but if it's sti// around next week, perhaps I wi// think about participating. A but/er outfit is more /ike/y, though.
