human fact: humans on earth ca'\'\ foreigners who are interested in the cu'\ture of the countr'/ of japan “weeaboos”! in that sense i am a humanboo! i think a'\'\ their cu'\ture is rea'\'\'/ coo'\ :]

ok dude.
"Weeaboo" is a derogatory term. You... Do know that, right? It isn't a good thing to be? I can call myself a "weeb" as a joke, and I do, but it's a term that implies you fetishize the culture. Do you fetishize human cultures? That isn't a good thing to proudly proclaim.
I'm merely trying to save you the embarrassment of using that term anymore.
THIS IS INCORRECT. IT IS ONLY "DEROGATORY" IN THE SENSE THAT IT ORIGINATES FROM 4CHAN AND ANY TERM COINED ON 4CHAN IS DEROGATORY. IN ACTUAL USAGE, IT LITERALLY JUST MEANS OTAKU. IT DOES NOT IMPLY "FETISHIZING THE CULTURE," NOR IS "FETISHIZING THE CULTURE" A REAL THING IN THE FIRST PLACE.
IT TURNS OUT THAT WHEN YOU TAKE A 4CHAN NEOLOGISM OUT OF THE CONTEXT OF /A/ IT LOSES ITS OFFENSIVE NATURE. BECAUSE THE THING THAT MAKES IT OFFENSIVE IS THAT IT IS BEING USED ON 4CHAN. TO THE SURPRISE OF NO ONE.
My apologies for not knowing the lore, I have never been on 4chan so perhaps I do not have the correct understanding, but from the way the term has been used in my understanding has been either as an insult, a marker of "cringe", or a joke about oneself and ones friends in a playful manner. Regardless of origin, the way the word has been used and the various spinoffs of said word ("teaboo" for example) tend to be used in order to talk down on others. Perhaps it is not the case in a literal sense, but I simply wanted to warn that this is the way those words are generally seen, and that the response they elicit tends not to be pleasant, in order to prevent them unknowingly using them and being talked down to and shamed by others for something that people could misunderstand. If the basis for me saying so is loose, that is my bad, but the overall point still stands.
