The book for today is "The Emperor of Ice-Cream" by Brian Moore. It's short, a bit funny, and overwhelmingly tragic. I'd recommend anyone with a few hours on hand to give it a read. I honestly don't want to say much else about it, since I feel the more I say the more I'd ruin the book for others.
