A porcelain doll, perfect, pretty, and prim Brush her hair, dress her in silk and lace. Devotion is conditional, compassion is the interim One moment it is strong, then gone without a trace. Harsh handling, withering words, deserted and discarded She does not not break, she'll only harden. Aching and alert, grieving and guarded. Too distant to be heard, her mind is the warden. #poetry #echochamber
The audience awaits your appearance with baited breath. The curtain raises, and the violin readies their bow. Warm light, fluttery laughter, morning dew, All things that remind me of you. The first verse is a gentle sway, a slow crescendo. Ladybugs, wooden spoons, encouraging words, a smiling face, Moments and memories I can't replace. The second verse is vivacious and accelerando.
