this entirely. struggle isn't something to yearn for or romanticize for a perfect victim. it's something that's forced onto those seen as lesser or aberrant by an authority that doesn't care if they live or die. if the authority truly cared they would make it so this struggle never happened in the first place. or at the very least didn't continue.
