A low maintenance flower — it blooms for a single day in the blazing heat before its petals wilt, giving it its name. Were it not for the witness of our jade-blooded friends, we might never know such a flower exists! The daylily reminds us it matters not how long our flowers last: it is what we do with our time that determines who we are.
