I fucking bought a new USB drive to boot linux to an old shitty laptop that Dave found...only to learnt the fuckers USB ports are broken. I am either going to need to reinstall the ports or find some fucking stupid way to get linux on a disc. Probably the former.
what's so special about this laptop anyway
Well, initially it was supposed to be my personal "Blast From The Past" laptop. Was a perfect condition ACER notebook from 2009 with windows 7 booted in it. However, the program is conterfeit and no keys work. So I have to reboot it with linux. At this point it has become a project of mine to dip my metaphorical toes into the wonders of Linux.
