I have such a disinterest in you/ Keep talk/ing anyway/

So while the Doctor Who And The Cybermen novelisation implies the Cybermen are native to Telos and migrated to Mondas, the Spare Parts audio story confirms they were indeed native to Mondas. Now, both explanations can be simultaneously true, and-

You'll never get my Mother 3 Gameboy Micro, fiend. It's stored in the one place you can't get to. Or, well, more likely one of several places you can't get to. But I have to maintain my secrecy.

I have no Idea what that is, human/ You lot are always so endear/ing/

It's a handheld videogame system designed aesthetically after Mother 3, a story about family love and authoritarian consumerist dystopia. It's meant to look like it's been unearthed from the ground after having been buried from a long time, like it's a relic of a forgotten past. Thematically relevant.

You play as a boy called Lucas, in a little nowhere village long after modern society fell. A foreign militia arrives to destroy the wildlife, create animal chimeras, convince the townspeople to stock up on televisions, and switches the economy to that of capital, as your mother (read: one of two guardian figures) is killed by one of these chimera creatures, and your twin brother goes missing on his journey to find her. You encounter a tomboy princess, a disabled man and a dog, and together you race against the new dictator government's militia to find and pull the Needles, to awaken a sleeping dragon with unimaginable power that follows the will of whoever summons it, good or evil, to stop the militia from using it to destroy the world. It's a very emotional tale. Highly recommend experiencing it.
