((Real thoughts, I think it's shitty to accuse people - and I think it's people here, not characters, due to the rules against transphobia - of being transphobic without providing any context, because they disagree with your headcanon about the mothergrub being a gender a troll can transition to. (( if a character is actively going onto a character who has that headcanon to make fun of it, then it's an asshole thing of that character to do. If people are making fun of your character for being trans, regardless if that character in canon isn't trans, that shouldn't excuse the way they're being treated ))

Tavros isnt a she her in canon either, but its common knowledge to respect what your headcanon is without asking about her genitalia and triggering a character over it? ((hi, this isn't an issue of people not adhering to my headcanon, this is a problem of people replicating real life transphobic rhetoric. we as a community should know that asking about someone's genital situation, or implying theyre subhuman is transphobic. people have got to examine their biases towards unconventional gender identities, and this includes fantasy-exclusive gender identities
((I did misword that, to clarify I meant to say, not adhering to their headcanons on my *own* characters. That said. Someone saying they are transitioning to what is broadly accepted as an animal, and is an animal in canon, and then asking why they are an animal (not saying anything about the transness of it), only to be called transphobic is not comparable. I understand the metaphor here, but I don't think that's fair to leverage against anyone. I'm ending the conversation now because I don't want to stoke flames any further.
