Since I feel like a check-in is necessary (for some godforsaken reason), I am still laying aimlessly in bed. >:B My goodness, this is getting a tad bit annoying.

Yup. Also in the "dangerously close to seeing the sun come out" club with little chance of actually falling asleep soon.
I usually don’t have any issues with dozing off, hell I had the most swell nap about 12ish hours prior to right now! As much as it is being a pain in my butt right now, perhaps I’m genuinely just not tired??? Then again, in past scenarios like this I tend to have passed out by now for one reason or another, so who can really say, hoo hoo?

They'll kick in a few hours later, I'm sure.
I have developed a rather delayed circadian rhythm over the many years of preference towards nocturnal activities, so it is notoriously difficult at times to sleep without the morning light making it's attempt to win their daily war with my blackout curtains.
For your sake, I truly hope so.
I also happen to have a pair of blackout curtains, hoo hoo. Work excellently at preventing any pesky street lights or the white light of blaring cars on occasion… Frankly they work too well. :B
Perhaps it would be wise to switch to regular curtains? Or invest in an electric opening system.
