It appears to me she was trapped. Not so much in literal ways, but in mental, more sinister ways. A life of sadness. I wonder if her friends are still alive, or if this is the result of mental illness. If so, I can see myself feeling it shortly as I root through this existence a little more.

so...how does that work
Once upon a time, in a dead timeline, many Roses simply go to sleep and cease existing in order to follow their brother into the next timeline. The hopeful Alpha timeline. Where everything goes correctly and we're all.. not quite alive, but happy. Not quite happy, but alive. But timelines are fickle things, murderous things. They cannibalize and kill their guests. I found that practice rather unbecoming. I wanted to fix it. To break it. So, I left. I went to sleep again and awoke once again in a new body, things slightly different and relationships askew, but no answers laid in wait for me. Still doomed. So I did it again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.
