:> Re^ding ^ book ^nd it s^id “the ^ge g^p w^s ^ little high - ten sweeps” ^nd I l^ughed ^ bit. I get it in theory, but I re^lly c^nnot t^lk. How much older ^m I th^n P^sc^l? Enough. <:
for real for fuckin real four sweeps is trivial for literallie anie relationship but the fact the weird casteist 'high-low forbidden romance' couldn't even have the balls to make their fushia more than four sweeps older was so wild to me never gonna forget that
:> If you’re going to write forbidden rom^nce ^t le^st m^ke it weird ^nd interesting in non-c^steist w^ys! But truly, I ^sk for the world ^nd ^ side of chips, too. Greedy of me, I know. <:
hahahah right best forbidden romance i think i ever read did have the whole like high-low setup, but it actuallie explored the theme of societie's expectations and the experience of various castes reallie well it was awesome you could kinda tell the author actuallie knew people of a bunch of different colours instead of the weird closed off casteist writers groups some of the other fuckers come from not that i even read all that much but when i do i just go to a second frond shop, grab whatever has an interesting cover, and read it so i have read some traaaaash and some gems
:> Ooh. Wh^t’s the title? I re^d ^ lot, ^lw^ys looking for new recommend^tions. <:
now don't quote me on this because i read it a while ago but i'm prettie sure it was; "in which a kindlie rustblood from the countrieside moves into the big citie, wherein various foul incidents occur in rapid succession to land her in hospital. within the hospital she is treated bie a surprisinglie gentle violetblood who is avoided bie the other staff due to their belief that she is using her wealth and status to rise in the industrie rather than her medicullers skills. the two bond during their time in the healing process, as the rustblood's ex-moirail returns from the fleet on shore leave to trie and find her." prettie sure there was more to the title but I think that'll be enough for goregle
yeah it kinda ruled the title doesn't give awaie how complex it is either which is great a lotta good books are ruined bie an overexplainie title

:> H^h^, none t^ken. I entirely underst^nd your point of view. <:
so true fr like yes it is interestin how a 29 sweep old and an 11 sweep old might be totallie fucking different at the same caste but a 29 sweep old seadweller might be equallie youthful and sillie as an 11 sweep old mid-lowblood right? that's also interesting but theie never reallie explore all that or like aniething at all usuallie the gap onlie exists to explain whie one of them is rich and the other isn't (but onlie poor enough to be #tragic but not to need to actuallie do anie of the jobs theie claim to have)
