Our Neighbor's Mr Handy Was Trimming The Hedges To Look Like Monsters. Kids Were Running Down The Sidewalk Giggling, Everything Was Perfect When It Came To The Fall Festivities. The Man Across The Street Was A Vaulttec Employee. He Insisted All His Close Friends And Neighbors Sigh A Form A Week Prior To The Day. No One Questioned It, Not Until The World Shook. The Entire Neighborhood Was Dressed Up For This Event, People Were Being Calm As Can Be Scooping Up As Many Kids As We Could As We Ran Behind The Neighbors House. The Man Had A Bombshelter In His Backyard We Thought It Was A Fancy Patio. We Were Packed Like Sardines On That Patio He Said Keep From The Edges As It Sunk Into The Ground. We All Made It But One Man Who Said It Was Just An Earthquake. We Stayed In This Shelter For 15 Years. 15, Who New How Long This Man Had Been Planning For This. All The Babies Were Grown Pets Passed And Were Born. It Was Peaceful In There But Some Of Us Were Getting Stir Crazy So We Left. Well He Didnt Want Us To Leave But We Resettled Our Little Neighborhood. Most Of The Elderly Didnt Last A Month, My Fiance Fell Ill And Went Back To Seek Help From The Shelter. I Haven't Seen Him In Years. Then Again Being On The Opposite End Of The States Kinda Doesnt Help. Sometimes I Hear His Voice, But Then I Remember Its Been A Few Decades Hes Probably Moved On, My Dog Keeps Me Company. I Feel Like Hed Been Too Pampered In That Vault To Handle The World Now. Hell These Raiders Protecting Me Would Be More Than Confusing.
