You should seriously contemplate sword fighting with my brother who is beggarly of wits and liable to contract every Alternian disease. Uncharitable as my words are about his immune system, he too brandishes swords for fighting. Or so he thinks. The materials he wields are subpar, his stance needing work is an understatement befitting of a jaw that splinters the surface of marble flooring, and he wears the most patently lame shades to ever disgrace human skin. But I also know that tough women beating him twitchy and senseless makes him smile and sputter off meaningless sweet nothings and praises. And there is this dumb laugh that always creeps out of the back of his throat when he has to wipe blood from his nose and flick it off the end of one thumb. He always sweeps his hands through his hair when bested, as if searching for the words he already knows he won't find to congratulate an opponent. I am by no means trying to say you should date my brother. Do not mistake my meaning. But it would probably make his world a lot brighter if you kicked his ass sometime. You know. Recreationally. I have it on good word for this friend of yours that he would be delighted to "pitch stuff". That he, supposedly, "is a starving artist of ungodly ass untapped talent" and that "tapping into that one man think tank would be straight up dope af and enough to drive a sane man fucking bonkers". He also proceeded to give an unsolicited summary of a cinematic adaptation of a novel he hasn't finished yet, where people are born with swords for arms. Arms which are used to resolve all major conflicts in gladiatorial-style arena combat. I am slowly waiting for an opportunity to break in and explain the nuance of blackrom.
