Well, I had not intended to re8log that post, 8ut now that I have made my presence known, I may as well offer a proper response. As a 8eforan, 8oth are permitted to exist, though lime8loods are regarded as ordinary citizens rather than targets for extermin8tion, as is the case on Alternia. Their existence is not criminalised in the same overtly violent manner, which already marks a significant divergence 8etween the two societies. As for what many refer to as “mutants” - a rather unkind term, I think, it may 8e more appropri8te to say offcaste. In 8eforus, such individuals are typically placed within the culling system, where they are assigned to the supervision of an adult troll. This arrangement is framed as care towards their development, though it ultim8tely culmin8tes in a predetermined life. Taking all of this into account, I would argue that it is generally 8etter to 8e a lime8lood on 8eforus than an offcaste on Alternia. That said, an offcaste on Alternia may, in some cases, conceal themselves as its warmer caste of 8urgundy. Given that 8urgundy are often overlooked or dismissed as the lowest caste, this does offer a certain advantage, namely, the a8ility to remain unnoticed, which can 8e a form of survival in itself. #caste #hemosim #politics #theotricals #8eforus #Alternia #CullingSystem
