It would seem as though my Handmaid has once again roused the unbearable indignity of employment. This is, of course, an amusingly charitable word for her arrangement. Employment generally implies that one may resign, negotiate terms, or at the very least be allowed the small spiritual luxury of believing oneโs labor is not simply the maintenance of a cage with better branding. I've seen some Alternian accounts on here talk about the moratorium on keeping records regarding historical occurrences. My assumption is that this has to do with the failed revolutions of the Signless and later the Summoner, but I'm curious if any other revolutionaries had their own records that were destroyed or kept in secret. I'm also curious as to how different other Alternian Jades have dealt with the the duties of keeping track of particular bloodlines when such a restrictive system is in place.
