well, sure, there's been a ton of good shonen anime lately, but i will die on the hill that hunter x hunter (2011) and i do have to specify 2011 because there's a 1999 version, is better than all of them, and that's without it even having a real conclusion in the anime or the manga!

it's total wannabe cop behavior, which makes sense because light is the son of a cop. and then there's his god complex, you don't see me going around killing people and i literally died and became a god, but light? god of the new world mostly i was annoyed that he made himself forget he was ever kira which sucked the drama out of the series but i also think he was dumb.
