I've seen some Alternian accounts on here talk about the moratorium on keeping records regarding historical occurrences. My assumption is that this has to do with the failed revolutions of the Signless and later the Summoner, but I'm curious if any other revolutionaries had their own records that were destroyed or kept in secret. I'm also curious as to how different other Alternian Jades have dealt with the the duties of keeping track of particular bloodlines when such a restrictive system is in place. Lowbloods very rarely have reason, or desire, to track down the feats of their forebears, but almost any member of the bluegeoisie is nigh-obsessed with their destined place in their bloodline's legacy. Apologies for the long post. #jadeduties #cavernposting #history #ancestors #alternia #verycuriousaboutthedifferences #alsodontunderstandhowanythingcouldbeknownwithout #youknow #writtenrecord

It would-n't be shoc-king what-so-e-ver to as-sume there are ma-ny pre-vi-ous failed re-vo-lu-tions that have been com-plete-ly e-rased from hi-sto-ry; we've seen it hap-pen be-fore and the con-trol-lers love to re-peat them-selves.

☆ Obviously the best way to learn about your ancestor is through visions in your dreams~☆

Admittedly the revolts that took place in the historic record of my own timeline differ wildly to those described by many on this site, but I'm not going to assume that the names of the Duellist or the Bohemian mean anything to anyone save myself and a few confidants who have read the same first-claw accounts as I have. I do think you're right though. History appears to be cyclical.

I don't think that's true.

It may have more im-pact than you rea-lize; there's a rea-son i-de-as like the but-ter-fly ef-fect ex-ist. Re-gard-less, there is no-thing wrong with that; if some-thing mat-ters to e-ven just one per-son, then it mat-ters.

thinking on other timellines, other allternias is allways so strange. and usually sad. first, the baffllement that there were revollutions that DIDNT incllude out ancestors. then, the thought of other allternias, and if they might be better than ours. and then the sadness, because they allmost never are.

Realistically if there were other Alternias, the ancestors that corresponded to us would be even more twisted shades of what we already would have had. Like, Seer of Void Yngvii rather than a Witch. Something weird like that.

1t’s not much but. 1 never bothered all that much personally about m1ne because 1 d1dn’t th1nk 1’d be al1ve long enough to care or for 1t to matter

Which is why I said most lowbloods don't really seem to care. That's the general sentiment, as far as I can tell.
