There are several species of snails that engage in regular cannibalistic tendencies, both on the dead and alive. An example would be the Euglandina rosea, colloquially known as the "cannibal" snail. This species is a fast and voracious predator, hunting and eating other snails and slugs. This has been TRUE insect facts with Atlans. )
Excuse my ignorance but, are snails considered insects? I'm asking from a completely genuine and curious point of view, I'm not trying to be snarky or anything of the sort.

=( If we were to get technical, as per what @mercurialGorepriest said, they are mollusks. However; they are frequently collected and raised by other bug enthusiasts such as myself and I tend to stick to the wrigglerish habbit of lumping it together with them. I suppose, this one time, this was a mollusk fact with Atlans. )
