♞She/they. Just a nomad following the magnifiCCent wild hoofbeast and musCClebeast herds in the CCentral-eastern steppes. I'll post piCCtures of them sometimes.♘
♞Big Mama is 45 hands at the withers. I am 21 hands at the poll. Hoofbeasts are CCommonly measured at the withers. This is a point between their shoulders. They often move their head while moving, whiCCh makes measurement there diffiCCult. Trolls are CCommonly measured at the top of the head. In a hoofbeast, this point would be CCalled the poll. Horns are not taken into aCCCCount. Mine would not influenCCe the measurement, in any CCase. I onCCe was luCCky enough to find a piCCture of Big Mama when she was just a foal, long before I even hatCChed. She was merely 20 hands here. https://CCdn.imgCChest.CCom/files/66a6818a159e.png♘
♞I understand now. This :2 image is a hoofbeast faCCe. With this Σ symbol, one CCould make a shape resembling the ears. Σ:2... Quite abstraCCt, but one understands it anyhow. It is about the idea, or feeling of the hoofbeast, rather than the image. What feelings does the sight or thought of a hoofbeast inspire in our bloodpushers? Despite photographing them, taking the exaCCt image, as empyriCCal as it CCan be without having the physiCCal hoofbeast, I think of suCCh matters. Art CCan represent the shape, or the idea. So CCan this image Σ:2. Made out of symbols, far from everything that CComposes a hoofbeast, you still think of one. Though now I roam far away from suCCh regions, it brings to mind the CChalk Hoofbeast of Roughington, in the CCentral-western arluud. Even trolls in ages long past had the need to represent the idea of the hoofbeast. The speed, the freedom, the movement - shape laCCks and gives way to all the CConCCepts, all the feeling of a hoofbeast. Built out of CChalk, maintained CClosely to this day by other enthusiasts, who have found value in prioritizing the feeling over the shape. https://i.imgur.CCom/tV7hmVj.jpeg♘
♞Was looking through all my piCCtures. There is one I took that isn't of a musCClebeast, or a hoofbeast, or the landsCCape. This is Big Mama, and she says hello. I follow hoofbeasts. She follows me, sinCCe I hatCChed. https://i.imgur.CCom/TGFB0iS.png #horse #hoofbeast♘
♞Updates. The Enif herd moves due south. They've spent a good few wipes in this area so I am to believe that they seek more food. MusCClebeasts in this region feed mostly on the grasses and low bushes, so they tend to be smaller than your average Latiximus or Serroratus breeds. The Goreliaths - largest members of the group - rarely reaCCh a height of over 18 feet. Often other enthusiasts dismiss these breeds beCCause of this. Only foCCusing on the taller, more musCCular northern breeds. I onCCe did as well, but I have found plenty of magnifiCCent in these beings.♘
♞A lot of avatars here are piCCtures of one's own faCCe. I don't want to triCCk anyone, so I have to CClarify; I am sadly not a hoofbeast. Despite my best attempts as a wriggler.♘
♞CConneCCting online after so long has taught me a lot of new things. My favorite magazine, MusCClebeasts Gathereum, has CCeased publiCCation a long time ago. I was wondering why the next issue was taking three sweeps to arrive. I was fully willing to CChalk it up to delivery not reaCChing me here.♘
♞I would like to take piCCtures of some of the musCClebeast foals as well. Some were born late into the dark season. They have had little time to CCome into their strapping musCCularity. I fear some might not make it past the dim season. It is a doleful thought, but suCCh are the struggles these magnifiCCent beings faCCe.♘
♞No updates to share so soon. CClose to the Enif herd, CCurrently resting. The stronger members guard the smallest, that gather in the CCenter. Beautiful to see, but I won't risk disturb them with a piCCture. They are at their most territorial in these moments. FoCCused on proteCCting their herdmates. Instead I share some fine art. My banner is a CClassiCC from troll Arnold BoCCklin. For a troll to be able to give suCCh aid for suCCh a wonderful beast. Grant it CComfort and proteCCtion in its travels. To see it return with the dim season, to CClean its hooves. To replaCCe its hoofshoes. To offer whatever measly CComfort against the elements one CCan. UtopiCC sights suCCh as these may be pure fantasy. But I enjoy them nonetheless. Feel free to share more art if you have it. https://i.imgur.CCom/BHREZ3A.jpeg♘
♞Hard CCatCChing any sort of CConneCCtion where I'm CCurrently in, but sinCCe I'd like to share updates from the herds I'm following I suppose I'll try my best♘
