There is good and there is evil. By any analysis, evil should always win. Good is not a practical survival strategy - it requires loyalty, self-sacrifice and love. And so, why does good prevail? What keeps the balance between good and evil in this appalling universe? Is there some kind of logic? Some mysterious force?

It's a numbers scenario, I think. You can only wrong so many people before it comes back to bite you. In short, evil causes its own demise simply by doing what it does. Either way, it doesn't really matter. Good and evil aren't real, these are both just metaphysical concepts people created to make sense of their own environment, decisions and moral alignment.
