At least some water, maybe even a bunch of water
who knows but deserts can get cold as fuck at night if that helps
From Mine Ownne experience thou must intend to Retain Thy moisture. Wearing Hoods and Layers is of more import than allowing thy carapace to loose that precious moisture to the dryed air. Thyne ganderbulbs will want for shaded goggles, to also keep out of them the Grit and Sands. Take thee also a cloth, made perhaps of Muslin or some such Fine Weave as to prevent the grit from entering thy mouth.
Tis wyse also to consider the Desolate Cold of the nyght air in the desert. Insulation against the wynd is a Must.
Depends on the purpose of your trip. A regular trip would need layers and hydration. But if it's a special trip, probably shovels, tape, rope, possibly some boxes or bags, and a partner to help with the work if possible.
