You do not remember when you died, yet did not die. You do not remember when you first watched your wounds seal up perfectly. You do not remember when you were torn limb from limb, devoured by a gluttonous being over and over as your body rebuilt itself to its eternal state. You do not remember when you too could no longer be sated. You do not remember when you first began to glow, when fins sprouted from your limbs, when webbing joined your fingers, when rows of teeth pushed through your gums. You do not remember the concerned looks on your friends' faces, when you were becoming something that was not yourself. When you became Us. You do not remember the confusion when the image in the mirror no longer reflected the image in your minds' eye. The photographs of yourself as a child. The knowledge that you have been altered beyond recognition. You do not need to remember this. You only need the euphoria We granted you, your desire to join Our chorus and become a reflection of Our song. Yet, you chose to wonder. We can return these memories to you, Our Vessel.
