I WASN'T A FAN OF LAIN BUT I BELIEVE THAT ARMITAGE 3 (ONE OF THE DIRECTOR'S OTHER WORKS) SHOULD APPROACH A SIMILAR MOOD WITHOUT THE FACTORS THAT MADE ME DISLIKE IT IT SEEMS TO BE A COINFLIP WHETHER ANY GIVEN KONAKA PRODUCTION IS ACTUALLY GOOD OR WHETHER IT'S ONE OF THE #NOTHING_EVER_HAPPENS ONES.
