https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/SZg8V8eooHCkMfgYDj48nk.jpg Enough 8ush talk and more a8out the Artemis II crew who captured this shot a few nights ago 8y pure luck! 8ecause the mission launch was delayed, the crew found themselves or8iting the moon at the exact moment of an eclipse. Normally, we expect the moon to 8e cast in total shadow from our perspective on Earth. However, the crew was treated to a rare sight where part of the moon remained partially lit. This is due to 'Earthshine', sunlight reflecting off the Earth and 8ouncing 8ack onto the lunar surface!
