something i find charming aboUt old earth is what were called "hemingway cats." they were descended from the hoUsecats of a famoUs aUthor, and all of them shared a genetic mUtation known as polydactyly. meanwhile, here on #earthc, we have "lalondean cats," a breed with the characteristic polyoptical mUtation of oUr dearly departed vodka mUtini! ^u^ warms my hearts.

not me personally, bUt apparently someone foUnd one all the way oUt in the carapace settlements in mesoamerica! might have been someone's pet once that got oUt, or descended therefrom. i think the mUtation can be dormant? i'm not the geneticist, thoUgh, that woUld be my wife. ~u~
