A NOTICE FROM THE FELT It has come to my attention that certain invitations have been extended for the forthcoming Open House events hosted by Darlin Dearie, the Doormaid. I would like to make one matter perfectly clear. I will not be attending. Nor, for that matter, will the following members of the current staff: The Panoptic, Vesica Anelus. The Nameless. And while their absence requires no explanation beyond the simple fact of their absence, I shall further note that the following former Associates will likewise not be in attendance: Woegothe Curatrix. The Bankshot. ARquiusprite. And our dear Handmaid's younger self. There is no particular need to speculate as to why. Some absences are deliberate. Some are prudent. Some are merely inevitable. Regardless, I would not wish to encourage anyone to mistake our nonattendance for a lack of interest in the proceedings. We remain quite capable of knowing what occurs within a space without physically occupying it. Indeed, there are certain advantages to observing an Open House from a comfortable distance. So by all means, attend. Meet your peers. Admire the manor. Sample the hospitality. Shake the appropriate hands. Laugh at the appropriate jokes. Enjoy whatever little surprises Darlin Dearie has prepared for her prospective guests. And should anyone happen to notice that several familiar faces are conspicuously absent, you needn't trouble yourself over it..
