not sure if its my favvorite but i liked the chronicles of the perpetually starvved questionably sane seafarers wwho pursue the mythic treasure of a dead emperor wwhile careening across an oceanic death wworld filled wwith govvernment tyrants mutant freaks impossible wweather phenomena and the unfortunate reality that their captains brain is made of either rubber or pure delusion
I ONLY watch it because no one else does ... TROLLS these days are only interested in those long running series, SUCKING their thumb while they watch all filler and no story >:P
Gurren Lagaan. Not a single anime has been able to top that one since I've watched it. Cyberpunk Edgerunners came close but not close enough.

Evangelion has it's place, but goddamn it was a bit much. Yoko Taro directing the next Evangelion anime has me VERY concerned.
