The problem with people these days is that they don't understand art. I believe one side of the fence these days are too prudish; too afraid to challenge their own beliefs, too afraid to be uncomfortable. They would rather stay in a never-ending wheel of comfort, unwilling to break free of their bubble. And then people on the other side are too mean spirited; they want to see violence and rage and carnage against their perceived enemies. My role as an artist, my *goal* as an artist, is to cut in the middle, ignore the bullshit from both sides. My art asks the hard hitting questions that we as a society really *should* be asking.
